Dave got an early birthday present, a Canon DSLR! Here are 1st pics (unedited) with the camera we've nicknamed "Cammii Zunon" (mix of Hammie & ZuZu with Camera & Canon - lol). What do you think??!

2 years ago today Starbuck passed from a very bad cancer, hemangiosarcoma. There was a time when we couldn't even say out lout or write that he had cancer. We thought somehow this non-admission might reverse his diagnosis.  But it didn't. We still miss Starbuck with all our hearts. We still think about what more we could have done or what we should have done. But because of him, we cherish every moment we have now with ZuZu and Hampton. We still believe he is with us and his spirit does live on through Zu and Ham.

We love and still miss you very much Starbuck! xxoo

Anyways, I thought I would take this quick pic to prove that the our most recent comic "No room for Daddy" is absolutely true.  I remember the days not long ago when I used to sit on that new couch after a long day at work and just relax.  You can't see Hampton cause he's in his usual spot underneath the blanket.  ZuZu has never been much of a snuggler so she prefers the end of the couch right by Mummy's feet.  Personally I think it's because she likes the smell of her ugly toes.   =)

Hampton Monroe and I had a serious talk yesterday.  He was feeling a little discouraged.

I told him that he's still young and if he works really really hard and never stops dreaming... someday he'll be able to dance like Daddy.  I keep telling him the secret  is to move his shoulders more. Unfortunately coordination was not one of the skills he was born with.  He takes after his Mummy (Grace).

Li'l Hampton Monroe is getting snipped tomorrow and feeling nervous about it. I hope he will be ok, safe and have a fast recovery! I hope he forgives me. Starbuck never did. This time I'm forcing Mummy to drop him off and pick him up!

On Sep 3rd Starbuck suddenly fell ill and we took him to Emergency. He was in pretty critical condition when we brought him to the Emerg Clinic and thankfully the team there was able to revive him (they do a great job and are also very very nice people there). He was bleeding internally very badly and ended up having a plasma transfusion. Initially, they thought it was rat poisoning b/c of the symptoms he had but we were confused as we couldn’t think of any situation where he would be exposed to that. After a day of testing they found multiple masses (what they believe are tumours) on his liver. If its what the doctors think it is, its very serious. I don’t even like writing this as its very difficult for me. Everyday is a blessing right now and all we are doing is trying to stay positive and believing that he is and will be our miracle dog. Right now Starbuck is doing really well and recovering from the trauma over the last few days. He’s eating and snoring as per usual which is good but we’re limiting his movement. He sleeps a lot which is good b/c he needs the rest. We’re doing ok.
















ZuZu I think understands and knows that something is going on as she is always sniffing at Starbuck and licking his head when they are near each other.

Today we were able to spend some time with him outside to give him some fresh air. I think he enjoyed that very much.
